If a pregnant woman takes vitamin A at 5,000 IU or more per day, it may cause congenital malformations. Women within 3 months of pregnancy or women who may be pregnant should not take this medicine.

Do not take this medicine if you have hypersensitivity to this medicine, are an infant under 12 months old, or have hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, kidney disease, kidney stones, or severe renal failure. Before taking this medicine, consult a doctor or pharmacist if you are a pregnant woman or a woman who may be pregnant, a nursing mother, a premature infant, an infant, an elderly person, or have hyperoxaluria (a condition in which excessive oxalate is excreted in the urine), gastrointestinal disease (peptic ulcer, chronic ulcerative colitis, regional colitis, etc.), heart or circulatory system dysfunction, renal impairment, hypoproteinemia, gout, kidney stones or a history of kidney stones, abnormal fat metabolism (hyperlipoproteinemia, diabetic hyperlipidemia, pancreatitis, etc.), or if lipid emulsions must be administered cautiously. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medicine for about 1 month, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Patients with a thrombotic predisposition or patients with folic acid deficiency should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Because vitamin A contained in this medicine is sufficiently supplied through a normal diet, make sure the dose for adjunctive therapy does not exceed 5,000 IU per day. It may interfere with detection of glucose in various urine tests, and may turn urine yellow and affect clinical laboratory values. Follow the prescribed dosage and administration carefully.

If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, itching, dry and rough skin, painful joint swelling, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, constipation, rash, redness, loose stools, loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, hypotension, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, red spots, asystole (cardiac arrest), decreased central nervous system function, dermatitis, bad odor during sweating or breathing, hair loss, irritability, gastrointestinal disorder, dyspepsia, upper abdominal pain, pulmonary edema, or abdominal discomfort occur, stop taking this medicine immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If menstruation starts earlier than expected, the amount gradually increases, or bleeding continues for a long time, stop taking this medicine immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
