Patients with hypersensitivity to this medicine, venous thrombosis, arterial thrombosis, prodromal symptoms of thrombosis, activated protein C (APC) resistance, antithrombin III deficiency, protein C deficiency, protein S deficiency, hyperhomocysteinemia, predisposition to venous or arterial thrombosis such as antiphospholipid antibodies, migraine, diabetes, severe metabolic disorders such as severe hyperlipidemia, hyperlipoproteinemia and porphyria, major surgery with prolonged immobilization, pancreatitis due to severe hypertriglyceridemia, severe liver disease, tumors (liver tumor, pituitary tumor), malignant tumors caused by sex steroids (in the genital organs or breast), undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, pregnant women or women who may be pregnant, persistent itching during pregnancy, herpes gestationis, pemphigoid gestationis or otosclerosis, patients receiving hepatitis C direct-acting antiviral agents, patients with congenital or acquired hypercoagulopathy, smokers 35 years and older, and patients with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption must not take this medicine. This medicine does not prevent HIV infection (AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases.
